SugarHouse Casino is a casino entertainment development along the Delaware River in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's Fishtown neighborhood. The 1,300,000-square-foot casino complex is located on the 22-acre site of the former Jack Frost Sugar Refinery, hence the "SugarHouse" name.
Sugarhouse Casino was looking for a program that kept in line with not only the heritage of the former refinery but also the trendy city feel of Philadelphia. They not only wanted an image that would appear one of a kind and memorable to guests, but also one that encompassed the brand of the casino, in a professional and subtle way. Another goal of the program was to build garments that not only accomplished all of the above but did so with fabric and fit with the employee’s comfort in mind.
Signature (sugar like) custom designed brocade was used widely within the casino. Shirts have casual untucked shirt hems, faux fold up cuffs on the sleeves and logoed ribbon which further customizes their look. The casino logo is embroidered on the garments in a very professional, one a kind subtle way. The dealer shirts have the logo on the cuff, offering a quick view of the logo for the table games during play. The shirts not only have a casual but professional look, but are constructed in a manner and with fabric that allow for easy care and garment maintenance. The custom dyed fabric enhances the casino’s image showing their bright and bold colors throughout the employees.
Employees feel comfortable and by using the signature brocade in a variety of colors and complimenting it with the coordinating shirt color the image program is not only custom to “Sugarhouse Casino” but also each job function is identifiable to the customer. The casual look and feel have kept a positive attitude throughout the casino’s workforce when it comes to a uniformed look. The overall program was awarded the prestigious 2014 “Best in Gaming” by the National Association of Manufacturers and Distributors.
